Ans. Production of fishes are called Pisciculture. Fish feed are provided
from out side. It gives only food substances. According to the mode
of breeding.
There are two categories :-
(i) Natural breeding and
(ii) Induced breeding.
Marine fishery deals with the
fishery aspects of the sea water.
The fishery is an industry which is for catching, processing or selling of fish
and other aquatic animals. A large
number of our population is dependent
on this industry.
Importance fish as food :-
(i) They form the excellent source of food specially of proteins and have little fat and good amount of minerals and vitamins.
(ii) Scientific value :- Some of the
lung fishes are of zoological importance because their discontinuous distribution and some anatomical features.
(iii) Fishes for controlling diseases:- The diseases like malaria, yellow fever can
be controlled.
(iv) Fish oil :- It is obtained from the liver of sharks. It has a medicinal value.
