What are the various public health measures, which you would suggest to safeguard us against infectious diseases?

Ans :-  Important measures for prevention and control of infectious diseases are following:-

(i) Consumption of clean drinking water, food, vegetables, fruits, etc.

(ii) Proper disposal of waste and excreta.

(iii) Cleaning and disinfection of water reservoirs. 

(iv) Protection of food and water from dust, flies and cockroaches.

(v) A large number of infectious diseases can be controlled by use of vaccines and immunisation programmes.

(vi) Antibiotics and various other drugs can effectively treat infectious diseases.
